Customer Waiver & Assumption of Risk

 

By choosing to use the facilities at Taffside Sauna, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

 

This includes guests you bring under your name for double bookings and private bookings. Please ensure all parties have read the waiver before attending a session or event.

1. Health & Medical Conditions

I confirm that I am 18 years of age or older.

I understand that sauna use may pose health risks for individuals with underlying medical conditions, including but not limited to heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, and respiratory issues.

If I am pregnant (particularly in the first 6 weeks), I understand that using a sauna may carry risks and I choose to do so entirely at my own discretion and risk. We would advise against this.

I affirm that I am in good health and have consulted with a medical professional, or have chosen not to, and I accept full responsibility for any health effects that may occur as a result of sauna use.

The accessibility to the whisky barrels and sauna can be difficult if you have mobility issues. Please let us know before you arrive if there is anything we can do to assist you.

I release Taffside Sauna, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any liability related to my health, injury or medical conditions.

2. Self-Served Fire & Stove Use

I understand that the sauna is heated by a wood-burning stove, and may require self-service operation during my session.

I agree to handle firewood, tools, and the stove responsibly and with caution, following all provided guidance or instructions.

I acknowledge that fire and high heat carry inherent risks, including burns, smoke inhalation, or other injury, and I accept these risks by choosing to use the sauna.

I release Taffside Sauna and its affiliates from any liability resulting from misuse of the stove or fire-related equipment.

3. Use of the River Taff

I acknowledge that Taffside Sauna does not encourage or promote swimming in the River Taff.

Taffside Sauna and its affiliates strictly prohibit customers to use the river, due to this being a conservation area, and there being a risk of E.coli and Weil's disease.

4. General Responsibility & Conduct

I agree to use the sauna facilities responsibly and follow any guidelines provided by staff.

I accept full responsibility for my actions and any consequences that arise from misuse or failure to follow safety instructions.

I understand that Taffside Sauna is not liable for any lost or damaged personal property.

I accept that I am out in nature, so any stings/scratches or other injuries are not the fault of Taffside Sauna.
